SonoMedica Training and Development Services ("SonoMedica", "we") is a DTI-registered health education business in the Philippines. We respect your privacy and handle your personal information in line with the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173). This notice explains, in plain language, what we collect, why, and the choices you have.

2. What we collect

When you message or email us: your name, contact details, profession if you share it, and the content of your messages.
When you join an interest list: your name, email address, profession and the courses you're interested in.
When you enroll: your full name, profession, PRC license number (if applicable), email address, mobile number, mailing address, the details needed for your certificate, and payment records such as payment screenshots and reference numbers. Card payments are processed by our payment provider; we do not store your full card number.
During a course: your attendance, quiz and examination results, and course feedback. Live classes may be recorded so learners can review them; your name and video may appear in a recording if you turn your camera on.
When you visit this website: our website host may keep basic technical records, such as your device's IP address and browser type, to keep the site secure. We do not use advertising cookies.

3. Why we use it

To answer your enquiries
To process your enrollment and payments
To deliver our courses, issue certificates, and keep certificate and alumni records so certificates can be verified later
To send course announcements you asked for, such as interest-list updates
To improve our programs, using feedback that is summarized without identifying you
To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations

4. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the services that help us operate, and only as needed: Google (Gmail and Google Forms), Meta (Facebook and Messenger), Zoom (live classes), the banks and payment providers you choose to pay with, and our website host. We may also disclose information when the law requires it.

5. How long we keep it

We keep your information only as long as needed for the purposes above, or for as long as the law requires, such as for financial records. You can ask to be removed from an interest list at any time.

6. How we protect it

We use reasonable organizational, physical and technical safeguards, and we limit access to your information to those who need it to serve you.

7. Your rights

Under the Data Privacy Act, you have the right to be informed, to object, to access your information, to have it corrected, to have it erased or blocked, to data portability, and to claim damages. You may also file a complaint with the National Privacy Commission. To exercise any of these rights, email us at sonomedicatraining@gmail.com.

8. Please don't send patient information

SonoMedica provides education, not patient care. Please do not send us patient names, images, reports or other identifying details through Messenger, email or any form. If we receive them, we will not use them and will delete them.

We may update this notice from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated.
