Ready for your next skill? What if you didn't have to leave work to learn it?

There's work you can't drop, patients who depend on you, family at home, and income that stops the moment you leave.

SonoMedica brings structured medical education to you: live online classes, a clear order, and a schedule built around your working week. We begin with ultrasound, developed and taught by a radiologist.

Why SonoMedica exists

Patients traveled through the night for an ultrasound.

The examination itself often took only fifteen or twenty minutes.

I began dreaming about building ultrasound clinics closer to them. But the hardest part wasn't placing a machine. It was finding healthcare professionals with the training, competence, and confidence to consistently perform high-quality ultrasound examinations.

So SonoMedica became an education company, because education was the first problem that needed solving.

If you've ever wished you could do more for the patients in front of you, SonoMedica was built for you.

The belief behind every course

Accessible, structured education builds confident professionals and better patient care.

What we believe

Any clinical skill feels hard when it's learned randomly.

A video here, a seminar there, a technique picked up from whoever happened to be on duty that day. Most professionals who struggle with a new skill aren't lacking ability. No one gave them a sequence.

These are the principles that sequence is built on.

Foundation before competency.

Understand what you're looking for before you practise finding it.

No image, no evidence.

A finding that isn't documented can't support the next clinical decision.

Structure before speed.

Speed comes from a reliable sequence, not from shortcuts.

Confidence needs a checklist.

Feeling sure isn't enough. A consistent checklist is what protects the patient.

Access needs standards.

Bringing care closer to patients only helps when it is done well.

A sample of how we teach

Landmarks before labels.

What

Before you name a structure, find the fixed reference points around it: the organs, vessels and boundaries that tell you where you are.

Why

A label without orientation is a guess. When the image doesn't look like the textbook, landmarks are what keep you from naming the wrong thing.

When

On every examination, and especially whenever the screen stops making sense. Go back to the landmark, then build forward again.

That's the first layer. In our courses, we apply it organ by organ, then build to standard views, documentation and knowing when to escalate.

General Ultrasound Foundations

A structured, radiologist-developed course in general ultrasound: abdomen, pelvis, breast, small parts and FAST. Taught live online to small cohorts, from the basics through standard views, common abnormal patterns, documentation and escalation.

Online, with no hands-on component. Does not cover obstetric ultrasound.

Coming nextIn development

OB-GYN Foundations

A dedicated introductory course in obstetric and gynecologic ultrasound, built with the same structured approach. It will run as its own course, separate from General Ultrasound Foundations.

Join the interest list to hear first when the outline and schedule are ready.

Our longer-term aim is a learning pathway healthcare professionals can grow with throughout their careers, whether they practise in major medical centers or in the most remote communities.

Who we teach

Built for the professionals who do the work.

Healthcare is delivered by professionals from many backgrounds. We teach each of them from where they start, always within their professional scope.

01

Physicians

Add skills that support your clinical decisions, whether you're in general, emergency, family, rural or municipal practice, or another specialty.

02

Radiologic technologists and sonographers

Build a consistent scanning workflow and clear documentation for the physicians and radiologists who rely on your images.

03

Nurses and allied health professionals

Learn practical skills properly where they're part of your work, always within your scope.

Students are welcome too. Medical and allied health students who want a structured head start in ultrasound can join our courses.

Our learners are not the final beneficiaries of our work. Their patients are.

Education supports practice. It does not replace credentialing.

Course completion does not replace professional licensure, supervised clinical experience, institutional credentialing, specialty training or applicable national regulations. Learners practise within their professional and institutional scope.

SonoMedica provides education and training. It does not provide patient consultations, diagnostic imaging services, medical diagnoses or other patient-care services.
